The hardest part of starting up is starting out
On October 1-3 the International Fair for Efficient Water Management was held in València (Efiaqua 2019). Global Omnium S.L. y Aguas de Valencia S.A participated very actively presenting their greener and environmental technological to achieve an efficient and sustainable water management. Research project were also disseminated. LIFE Bactiwater’s results were presented by Feliu Sempere in the panel related to Wastewater and Purification.
Last Friday, September 27, researchers from the consortium had a very fruitful meeting with members of the project’s external advisory board. Daniel Aguado (Universidad Politécnica de Valencia), and Auxiliadora Prieto (Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas of CSIC) participated very actively and with great interest during the presentation of the results of the project, as well as the next actions to be developed. We greatly appreciate their involvement in the project!

The new LIFE 2019 call for proposals was presented on May 7th 2019 at the Regional Infoday conference organized by REDIT and the Valencian Chamber of Commerce in Paterna (València). During the event a great number of Life projects gave an overview of their results, where Life Bactiwater also participated (presentation).
The project LIFE NEWEST organised a networking event on 12th April 2019, where the participants could exchange ideas and the results of their project. The event was held in go:hub, the innovation hub of Global Omnium. In the agenda it can be seen the different projects that attended the event, where Life Bactiwater also participated.
The 35th edition of AEAS (the Spanish association of water supply and sanitation) was held in València during 27-29 March 2019, being Global Omnium the host entity. The event was the main national forum for meeting professionals, companies and institutions for the debate and transfer of knowledge of those aspects that arouse greater interest related to the integral water cycle.
The Life Bactiwater contributed with a written paper in the proceedings of the conference, as well as the project was presented in a video continuously broadcasted in the stand of Global Omnium.
Students of the degree of Biotechnology of the Universitat de València visited the facilities of the pilot plant of the Life Bactiwater project. Researchers from Global Omnium explained the main objectives and methodology of the project.
